Sanjeev Sinha’s sculpture stages a surreal procession of materials and meanings. The iron mesh cup, brimming with real coal, evokes labor and fuel—yet glitters with pasted fragments, as if celebrating the very weight it bears. Atop this vessel stands a gleaming dog, sentinel or clown, crowned absurdly with a red shoe—an emblem of misplaced hierarchy or whimsical defiance. Cast in golden bronze and stainless steel, the piece parodies monumentality itself, turning the banal into the baroque and the ordinary into an enigma.
